What were you doing before you started with DA and when/why did you join the team?

I spent much of my career as a HVAC design engineer and project manager in the life science and healthcare verticals for a leading Boston based MEP/FP Consulting Engineer. During my time in the industry, I always respected the problem-solving approach taken by members of the DA team. When the opportunity presented itself, I felt my experience as a design engineer and ability to coordinate with multiple trades and disciplines would be an excellent fit and jumped at the chance to become a contributing member of the DA team.

What characteristics make you excel at your job?

I feel that my communication skills and ability to understand problems from the perspective of all parties involved allow me to provide an appropriate solution to the problem or situation at hand. In addition I am very capable of listening to suggestions or alternate approaches from team members which allows for close collaboration when attacking a problem.

What is a quality about you that isn’t obvious at first?

That’s a tough one, I am an extremely transparent person so there isn’t much people don’t know about me upfront. If I had to pick one thing I would say that I enjoy helping people in various capacities and tend to offer my help where I feel I could be of assistance.

What is a talent you possess or one of your hobbies that people are impressed by?

I enjoy dabbling in graphic design when family or friends are in need to a logo or graphic of some sort. While I don’t excel at it I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback on some of the items I’ve designed over the years.

When you have some spare time, or plan a future event, what is your go-to?

Do we have spare time in the HVAC industry? One thing I have not done enough is travel, when schedules lend themselves to some time away I enjoy vacations with my wife and two children.

Who are your favorite people to spend time with and why?

Easy answer, family! Being around the family and watching your children grow and learn while being closely involved in their everyday life is something that I cherish.
