What were you doing before you started with DA and when/why did you join the team?

Since graduating Northeastern University with a Chemical Engineering degree, I have held a mix of sales jobs within the commercial HVAC industry. I sold water treatment services, steam specialties and PVF (pipe valves and fittings) prior to my time with DAC in 2020.

My biggest draw to DAC was the ability to use my engineering talents to compliment and enhance the sales process. The original intent for my engineering degree was exactly this, becoming a bridge between the technical minded engineers and the end user. These two groups so often speak in such different ways they may as well be speaking different languages. I find it fun to translate between the two and challenge myself to help both sides understand each other.

What characteristics make you excel at your job?

I find the best parts of my day are when I am communicating with customers or vendors. These conversations are mostly productive, but the fun comes when we talk about our lives and get to know each other beyond the business side of things. I am not sure if it is a talent or simply part of my personality, but I find it easy to speak with people on a personal level and it enhances how we work together in way that can’t be truly quantified.

What is a quality about you that isn’t obvious at first?

Family is the most important thing in my life. My wife and I have recently started a family and I would do anything for our son.

What is a talent you possess or one of your hobbies that people are impressed by?

I love to waterski and snowboard. I don’t get to do either as often as I would like but there is something about gliding across water or snow that feels incredible! I’m also a big fan of obstacle courses like Tough Mudder or Spartan Race. The challenge, the mud and the camaraderie you get with random strangers mid-race make them so much fun!

When you have some spare time, or plan a future event, what is your go-to?

I have a long list of destinations I would like to bring my family. Scotland, Ireland, France, Jamaica, New Zealand and more.

If I have a little free time, I will take a drive with the family to a zoo or aquarium so our son can experience something new a little closer to home.

Who are your favorite people to spend time with and why?

My wife and son are my whole world. I would and do spend every day with them. If I can include extended family like my parents, siblings, and close friends, even better!
